As a retail worker during the COVID-19 pandemic, I witnessed pure panic. At the beginning of announcements of a Stay-At-Home order in Houston, the public responded by gathering everything they could get, purchasing an abnormal number of products. Milk, Eggs, Sanitizers, gloves, water, and toilet paper just to name a few. It was not just my store that was experiencing shortages, since the world of retail would struggle to keep these items in stock for the few weeks that followed.

Why is it that humankind is so inclined to grab as much as possible? Perhaps it is a survival instinct, a subconscious trigger that makes us decide to fight or flight. Our fears have left us with all this food that ends up wasted, never consumed.  Were we right to be afraid? Of course, we had every right, but panic ultimately caused this outcome, not fear. This series intends to capture the fragility of society in panic. Panic is a very easily triggered emotion, as easy as breaking an egg - eggs that may never be whole again.

This series of videos, while lighthearted intended to show what society should be doing during these testing times, and what actually happens most times. It serves as a public message to get the masses to come together, rather than assuming that all is lost, and all hell has broken loose.
